Founded by Mrs. Henry Mancini, and helping Singers in need since 1984, The Society of Singers is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with locations in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Nashville and Las Vegas. It is a group of concerned individuals devoted to addressing the needs of professional singers worldwide. The Society of Singer's funds are raised from annual membership dues, private and corporate donations and fundraising events.
Always at the forefront, singers bring us pleasure through voice and with song. Though blessed with talent, singers like many other artists face an ongoing battle to survive in their chosen field. They have given of their time, but often struggle while facing the challenges of a profession without a union, benefits, steady work, or performance rights.
It is the mission of Society of Singers to benefit the health and welfare of professional singers, both past and present, in need of assistance due to personal, family, or medical crises. To complement its involvement in the entertainment community, the Society focuses on advancement of the vocal arts, which directly affects the future of aspiring singers, generation after generation.
The Society of Singers is a nonprofit charity that helps professional vocalists, worldwide, in times of crisis or need. SOS provides emergency financial aid, case management, counseling, and referral services.
