"They call Bobby Short the quintessential New Yorker; the Fred Astaire of saloon singers; an international icon of style and glamour. This will be the Chapter's first gala held in Manhattan, Bobby's town, whose home base is the estimable Café Carlyle where he is now celebrating his 30th anniversary.
